Visiting Post Vintage
Situated in the picturesque village of Pool in Wharfedale at the heart of the Wharfe Valley, Post Vintage is easily accessible.
Located just 10 miles from Leeds City Centre, travel by road and rail is most convenient. If travelling by rail, connections can be made in Leeds to our local station of Weeton. Post Vintage can collect you from the railway station to complete your journey.
If travelling by road, we are easily accessible from the A1, M1 and M62 motorways. Post Vintage is situated on the A659, Pool Road, just off the A658, Harrogate Road.
If travelling by air, we are located 4 miles from Leeds Bradford Airport. If arriving by private transport, a terminal operated by Multiflight is situated at Leeds Bradford Airport complex. Again, Post Vintage can arrange for transport to and from the airport terminals to assist your journey.

Leeds

Local Attractions
There are many things to see and do in the local area whilst you are visiting Post Vintage; a few local attractions are listed below:
Harewood House – The home of the Earl and Countess of Harewood, Harewood House was voted as Enjoy England’s Large Visitor Attraction of the year 2009.
With the magnificent stately home housing furniture by Thomas Chippendale and paintings by Turner and El Greco and immaculate gardens to enjoy, it is a great day out. Harewood also houses wonderful bird gardens with 100 species to see.
Many events are held throughout the year, with the Vintage and Classic Car Rally and Yorkshire Post Motor Show in the spring, Great Yorkshire Food Show in the summer, the Great North Country Fair in autumn and a Christmas Festival in winter, there is plenty on offer.

Yorkshire Dales National Park – covering 680 square miles, the Yorkshire Dales National Park straddles the Pennines in North Yorkshire and Cumbria. Situated just a 30 minute drive from Post Vintage, there are fabulous views and roads to explore with many villages and landmarks to visit.
There are also many excellent pubs and hotels, including The Devonshire Arms hotel and Brasserie situated at Bolton Abbey http://www.thedevonshirearms.co.uk/ .
The Bull at Broughton http://www.thebullatbroughton.com – with a menu by Michelin Starred chef Nigel Haworth, this fabulous country pub has a locally sourced menu complemented by a fabulous wine list and local ales.
The Angel Inn at Hetton http://www.angelhetton.co.uk – with a long and well established reputation, The Angel serves freshly prepared, locally sourced food in either their bar or dining room. Accommodation is also available in their converted barn. Booking in advance is essential.
Harrogate – Harrogate town centre is located a short drive away from Post Vintage and has a wealth of shops, attractions and accommodation on offer. There are the famous Betty’s Tearooms and the Royal Pump Room Museum, celebrating Harrogate’s history as a spa town, alongside the Harrogate International Centre which holds conference exhibitions and entertainment from a wide variety of comedians and musicians.

Ilkley – the Spa town of Ilkley is situated just 10 miles away from Post Vintage. With its abundance of independent shops and cafes it is a great day out. If you are feeling more adventurous, however, there is also Ilkley Moor with its famous Cow and Calf Rocks to explore. There are many walks across the Moor of varying levels of difficulty which take in the local sites of the rocks, Ilkley Tarn and White Wells with its infamous plunge pool.

Leeds City Centre – Post Vintage is also conveniently located for a stay in Leeds City Centre. Weeton train station is a short drive away from Post Vintage and is on a direct line from Leeds City Station, or it is just 10 miles away by car.
Whilst in Leeds there is an abundance of sites to see. There is the Royal Armouries Museum, with its large collection of armour, arms and artillery from many historic eras, such as Tudor and Stuart and the English Civil Wars. Leeds City Centre also has several theatres, The West Yorkshire Playhouse, The Grand and The City Varieties, showing a range of plays, comedy and music events throughout the year. All three are located in the city centre making them easily accessible.
