AMOC Snetterton Race Meeting 2009
Last weekend, the 18 and 19 July, saw the AMOC meeting at Snetterton, which hosted many different cars and classes, with great success for Post Vintage.
Saturday held a full schedule with the Martini 3 hour endurance race for Sports/GT cars built after 1970, Austin Healeys, Aston Historic Championship and 50s Sports Cars Team Challenge. Sunday then saw the more modern cars compete, with Ferrari and Super GT, the Aston Martin Championship, Intermarque and a one hour race for Pre 1966 GTs and Saloons.
Post Vintage, Managing Director, Adrian Johnson, had a cracking weekend, finishing first overall in the AMOC 50s Sports Car Team Challenge. It was a strong win for Adrian, in Aston Martin DB2, finishing over 26 seconds ahead of second place, a fabulous result.

Adrian also competed, with Clare Surtees, in an FIA MGB in the Pre 1966 Sports and GTs race. It was Clare’s first outing at Snetterton and what an outing it was! The duo finished first in class and with Clare a mere 3.2 seconds behind Adrian’s timings.
The racing season continues in full force, with next weekend seeing the annual Silverstone Classic Event with Adrian competing again in DB2 in the Woodcote Trophy. For further details of the race and the Silverstone Classic event, please visit www.silverstoneclassic.com
