Post Vintage buys DB4 with a Titled Past

Here at Post Vintage, we have been lucky enough to purchase a DB4 with a prestigious history. The 1960 DB4 Series II, currently listed in our sales section, has only had 3 owners in its 49 years, the first of which was Viscountess Bury (known as Lady Mairi).

The car was registered to Mount Stewart in County Down, where Lady Mairi was born and has lived ever since. In the 1970s the house was donated to The National Trust and it is now enjoyed by many visitors being one of Northern Ireland’s most popular tourist attractions.

In a recent conversation with Lady Mairi, Post Vintage discovered a little more into the history of this unique car. Lady Mairi recalled taking the car on holiday with her as she was so fond of it, taking it to Dorset and even to Venice.

Now 88 years old, Lady Mairi, sold the car in 1963 to accommodate her growing family.
