Success at Mallory Park Race Meeting 2009

The annual Mallory Park race meeting, organised by the Aston Martin Owners Club (AMOC), was held on Sunday 19th April, 2009.

Mark Midgley, who is a great friend and customer of Post Vintage, was competing in the Feltham and Pre War Sports Car race in an Aston Martin DB2.

The DB2 was produced between 1950 and 1953 and only 411 were ever made. The prototype raced at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1949 and the car was launched at the New York Auto Show in 1950. This model had great success at Le Mans on several occasions and paved the way for purpose built Aston Martin racing cars, the first of which was the DB3.

Mark had a superb race and finished in second overall and first in the A3 Class. Congratulations Mark!

Many thanks to Deborah Midgley for the photograph.
